Our ministers (Officers) of Harpenden Salvation Army are Captains Ralph and Maxine Walker. They have two children, the eldest is called Nathanael and the youngest is called Ethan. They arrived at Harpenden in August 2006 after serving 7 years at Minster corps on the Isle of Thanet. Before Minster, Maxine served as a Single Officer at Wadhurst society and 'The Haven' Children's Home. Between them they have over 19 years experience of working as officers in the Salvation Army.
Both Ralph and Maxine come with a wealth of children's experience as Maxine is a qualified teacher and taught in Camberwell (South London) and Ralph a qualified Youth Worker serving in Croydon. They have also both worked for the Army in America.
